1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Taskannah mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Taskannah is a marketplace platform that connects individuals seeking local services ("Requesters") with individuals offering local services ("Providers") in the Coastal Georgia area. Taskannah facilitates connections between users but does not itself provide any services, employ any Providers, or guarantee the quality of work performed.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Taskannah. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.
5. Dual Mode Usage
Taskannah offers a dual-mode system where users can act as both Requesters and Providers. When switching modes, you agree to abide by the responsibilities and obligations of each role as outlined in these Terms.
6. Service Requests and Claims
- Requesters: You are responsible for accurately describing the service needed, including location, scope, and any relevant details. You agree to act in good faith when selecting Providers.
- Providers: By claiming a request, you commit to providing the described service. You represent that you have the skills, qualifications, and any necessary licenses to perform the work.
- Multi-Provider Jobs: For requests requiring multiple providers, partial fills may be permitted. Both Requesters and Providers acknowledge this possibility.
7. Payments
All payments for services are handled directly between Requesters and Providers, outside of the Taskannah platform. Taskannah does not process, facilitate, or take any fees from service transactions. Users are responsible for agreeing on payment terms through in-app chat before work begins.
8. Subscriptions
Taskannah offers a freemium model for Providers. Free accounts include a limited number of job claims per month. Pro subscriptions, managed through RevenueCat, provide additional features including unlimited claims. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation policies are presented within the App at the time of purchase.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent service requests or profiles
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews
- Use the App to spam or send unsolicited communications
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
- Circumvent any security features of the App
10. Ratings and Reviews
Users may leave ratings and reviews after completing a service interaction. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and based on genuine experiences. Taskannah reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.
11. Content
You retain ownership of content you post on Taskannah. By posting content, you grant Taskannah a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content as necessary to operate the platform.
12. Disclaimers
- Taskannah is a platform connecting users. We are not a party to any agreement between Requesters and Providers.
- We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered or performed.
- We do not verify the qualifications, licenses, or insurance of Providers.
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskannah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages resulting from interactions with other users, services performed, or payments exchanged.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Taskannah, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
Taskannah reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting support.
16. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
